acacia@live.unc.edu

Acacia received her BS in Biology with a second major in Computer Science from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2019. She is currently a Marine Sciences PhD student. Her research focuses on fine-scale microbial population dynamics at the Galapagos Archipelago and how the microbial community changed in response to El Niño. Microbes form the basis of the marine food web and can potentially influence the terrestrial and marine animals in the Galapagos.
