Hanna Brosky received her BS in Environmental Engineering and Entrepreneurship from Lehigh University (2018, USA) and an MPH in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) from Tulane University (2022, USA). She was a WASH engineer for Peace Corps Panama from 2018-2020.
Hanna is earning her PhD in Environmental Engineering at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (USA), where she works at the intersection of public health and engineering. Her dissertation focuses on working with local utilities and households to improve water quality in the Galapagos and reduce the risks of urinary tract infections (UTIs) and gastrointestinal infections (GI). Hanna’s research focuses on multi-level stakeholder engagement to evaluate water quality, improve water systems, and reduce waterborne diseases.
Hanna is funded by Precision Microbiome Engineering (PreMiEr, NSF Engineering Research Center).
