BSPH Nutrition, UNC-CH 2020

Kishan earned his BSPH in the Nutrition program at Gillings School of Public Health at UNC in 2020. He had the wonderful opportunity of working with a team of researchers during the summer of 2019 to conduct a pilot study on food and water quality and security on Isabela island in the Galapagos. His research interests include assessing diet quality among families and identifying associations between diet quality and food security.

In the fall of 2020, Kishan started dental school, where he hopes to use his knowledge of nutrition and dietary recommendations to provide patients with quality dental and health care in the future.

His work in the summer of 2019 was funded by the Undergraduate Research Consultant Team (URCT) grant under the Office for Undergraduate Research at UNC.
